Children’s Program Volunteer |

Women and children need your help! Children’s Program Volunteers guide activities for the children in shelter while their mothers attend support groups.
Skills required: Experience working with children of all ages. Volunteer hours: Ideally looking for a commitment of one Wednesday evening per week or every other week. Call to see if volunteer hours are available. |

Family Advocate Assistant |

Help empower victims in a strengths-based advocacy program. The Family Advocate Assistant works with the Family and CPS advocates to offer assistance to victims by offering TANF, Medicaid, Food Stamp and Section 8 Housing assessment, budgeting assistance, individual support, case management and grant application research and assistance for education.
Skills required: An interest or experience in social work and a positive commitment to working with victims of domestic violence. Volunteer Hours Available: Mon. 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. *Looking for a commitment of two days per week. |

Help make a positive impact on a battered woman’s life while learning more about our legal system. The Legal Advocate Assistant attends domestic violence court with NOA’s legal advocate and assists by taking notes, offering individual support, safety planning and distributing brochures to victims.
Skills required: An interest or experience in legal or criminal justice and a positive commitment to working with victims of domestic violence. Volunteer Hours Available: Mon. 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. *Looking for a commitment of two days per month. |
